IV. Training objectives

This talent training program is tailored to international students in China. The “Chinese language + professional skill” training mode aims specifically to cultivate students’ international vision and all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetic to meet the need of modern hotel industry. Students should master basic knowledge and skills of the high star-level hotel operation and management, have basic service and management ability and bilingual and computer skills, and be able to engage in basic level service and middle level management in various operation departments of the hotel.

 

V. Occupational position (s) analysis

Graduates of this major can be fully qualified for positions in high star-level business hotels, high-end resort hotels, high-end restaurant chains, conference centers, luxury cruise ships, exclusive clubs and other tourism enterprises and related services, qualified for basic management work after 2-3 years of ground-level work and qualified for intermediate management and above after 5-8 years of experience.

Course content: This course includes basic knowledge in the hotel industry, hotel management, hotel human resources management, hotel marketing management, hotel organization and management, hotel operation management, hotel service management, hotel security management, hotel supplies, equipment, and energy management, hotel management information system, strategic management of the development of hotel. The course is rich in content and well-structured, with a focus on practicability, theory, science and comprehensiveness, integrating the latest developments of the hotel industry and social needs. It is a vocational basis course in the first semester, which lays a foundation for students to learn further professional knowledge.
