1. Semesters Arrangement
The school academic year of Yangzhou Polytechnic College is divided into two semesters: Spring and autumn semesters.
A semester usually lasts 20 weeks, of which the last 2 weeks are set aside for revision and examinations. The academic year starts in September, which is also the start of the fall semester while the spring semester usually starts in February.

2. Limits on Study Periods
Advanced Students and Language students are generally limited to 2 years of studies, Diploma students to 3-4 years,

Non-diploma students (language students or advanced students) must complete the required courses, and get a certificate.
4. Courses and Credits Requirements for Diploma Students.
The course and credit requirements for international students are basically the same as that of the Chinese students.
Requirements for Diploma Students: According to the curriculum of Yangzhou Polytechnic College, students must complete the required credits and courses, pass all examinations, and complete a required graduate paper or graduate design.
5. Enrollment and Registration
Students must register at the commencement of every semester and would receive a student’s status after the full payment of their tuition fees.
If tuition fees are not paid off within 10 working days after enrollment, 5% overdue fine will be added to the outstanding tuition fee of the year. Where the delay in payment exceeds two months, student will be treated as automatic expulsion or dropping out.
6. Campus Cards and Students Cards
International students will be given a Yangzhou Polytechnic College student card and campus identity card after enrollment. If you lose your student card, please apply for a new one at the office of International Exchange Schoolin the library building. If your campus identity card is lost, please apply for a replacement at Students’ Affairs Office.
7. Graduation, Completion of Studies
Diplomastudents whocomplete all the courses, earn all the required credits, pass the graduation thesis and meet all the requirements of their schools will be permitted to apply for graduation and on graduation will be given a Certificate of Graduation.
Graduates who do not complete their period of studies or fail in completing their thesis will only be given a Certificate of Completion of Studies.
Language Students and Advanced Students who have completed their studyprograms and obtained all the required credits will be given a Certificate of Study and a grade report.
Students who leave the school before completing their studies or have completed at least one year of studies together with the necessary procedures for leaving the school, will be given a Certificate of Study and a grade report.
