I. OVERVIEW of YPC

Yangzhou Polytechnic College (YPC) is a full-time public vocational college, one of the largest vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province, China. YPC is also one of the Outstanding Institutions in the Talent-Training Level Evaluation on Higher Vocational Colleges by China Ministry of Education, Top 50 National Higher Vocational Colleges for Teaching Resources, one of the Top 60 Colleges for Resource Development, and High-level Higher Vocational Institutions with Chinese Characteristics in Jiangsu Province. The history of YPC can be traced back to 1906. With 22 individual subsidiary schools, the college encompasses 1582 acres of land and accommodates more than 16,000 full-time students along with over 16,000 students enrolled in continuing education courses. There are 1273 faculty members, with nearly 1000 full-time teachers, 90 professors, 424 associate professors and 907 teachers holding doctoral or master’s degrees. YPC provides 68 majors in 17 categories.

YPC adheres to the principle of opening up, with more and more international exchanges.In recent years, the college has established friendly and cooperative relations with more than 40 colleges and universities in over 20 countries and regions, such as the United States, Canada, Germany, Korea, Japan, Singapore and Thailand. YPC is the program college of China-ASEAN Successful TVET Cooperative Programs, member unit of Jiangsu-American Higher Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance and ‘the Belt and Road ‘Talents Training Cooperation Alliance of Higher Vocational Colleges in Jiangsu province and Advanced Unit in the Management of Foreign Experts in Jiangsu Province. The college actively introduces high-quality vocational education resources from abroad, with 3 cooperative education programs set up together with colleges and universities in the US and Britain. In response to the Belt and Road initiative, the college started education programs for international students coming to China for higher studies. With more than 300 international students, the college develops programs of Chinese language + skills training and academic education, providing comprehensive support in cultivating localized talents for Chinese companies going global.Every year, the college selects excellent teachers and students to study and exchange abroad, thus promoting the high-quality development of international education cooperation.

The diploma of YPC approved by the Ministry of Education of PRC will be delivered to the graduates if credits are fully taken and graduation requirements are met after 3 years. Students can be recommended to study in collaborative universities for 2 years to get degree if they want.

IV. FEES

1. Tuition Fee

Foundation/Language Course: RMB6, 000/year; Diploma Course: 12,000/year

2. Accommodation Fee

4 En-suite: RMB 1,500/year；3 En-suite: RMB 2,000/year；2 En-suite: RMB 3,000/year；

3. Other Fees (Currency unit: RMB ¥)

Note: All the fees shall be paid when registering at college except Admission Fee (Admission Fee isn’t repaid). Airport pickup for freshmen registration is for free (First arrival in China at Nanjing and Shanghai international airports).

V. SCHOLARSHIP (CURRENCY UNIT: RMB ¥)

1.    Foundation/language and diploma students could apply for first-, second-, and third-class scholarship if they meet one of the followings. The scholarship recipients are evaluated by the International Student Scholarship Expert Committee of the college.

* be fluent in English

* have HSK 4 certificate or equivalent Chinese language proficiency

  * have municipal level or above awards

* 80+ average score in high school

  * recommended by governmental authorities

  * recommended by cooperation sides

2.    At the end of the academic year, scholarship will be evaluated based on comprehensive performance. Those who have received criminal or administrative penalties for violating Chinese laws, those who have been warned or above for violating school discipline and school rules, and those who have failed to pass the discipline in the academic year of the competition are not eligible to apply for scholarships.

3.    Students of foundation course should refund the corresponding scholarship if he/she does not continue diploma course in YPC.

4.    Applicants should fill in the Scholarship Application Form of YPC.

VI. ADMISSION 

The admission of YPC adopts the data review system, combined with the interview, and is organized by the International Exchanges School. The students will be comprehensively evaluated according to the situation of students and selected on the basis of merit.

After approval of application, students shall receive YPC Admission Letter in Chinese and English as well as JW202 form. Students shall bring all the necessary documents for X visa and finish enrollment within the time given in the offer. On arrival in China, students need to have a physical check and completion of enrollment will be made on the result.

VII. APPLICATION AND ADMISSION DEADLINE

Applying for 2023 enrollment start from April to August 2023, and registration will be made in September 2023 (the specific date is subject to the letter of admission). Applicants should log on https://sie.yzpc.edu.cn/sieen/ and make online application before application deadline.
